Just got my hand on this brand new lens. I’ve read lot of reviews for this lens and they all give positive comments on this cheap yet handy one. Since the lens is not designed for D40 line and manual focus is the only way to go, I found it interesting to adjust the focus ring and saw how the DOF turns out in different compositions. I took a bunch last night but only a few turned out sharp and satisfying. Many photographers like manual focus function as it gives them more control on the photos. My dad had a Nikon SLR long time ago and I remember everything was to be adjusted on the lens before taking a photo. You know, it’s fun sometimes to go back the old time. Advanced technology’s just make people lazy (including me hehe)
